Gaming Girls Kick Ass!
Miss WSVG Pageant Boycotted By Girl Gaming Clans

I found this to be a very interesting story.
Enjoy.

The first event in the new World Series of Video Games pro gaming tournament has generated controversy from an unlikely source; the Miss WSVG Pagaent. The event, held at the annual LANWar competition in Louisville, Ky. this past weekend, was one of several non-gaming related events held during the competition which picked a regional winner among a number of young models that could lead to having the winner's likeness appear...

Red Orchestra released
Roswell, GA March 14th: Tripwire Interactive today launched their highly-anticipated World War II first-person shooter for PC, Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45, on Steam. The game is now immediately available for purchase, download and play via Steam. A boxed version of the game will also be available in stores across North America later this week, via Destineer's Bold Games label, with localized versions shipping to stores worldwide in the coming weeks

Based on the most highly-acclaimed mod ever made, Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 is a full-featured, stand-alone World War II game that brings players to the frontlines of Eastern European combat during the height of World War II. Players choose from 24 infantry weapons or crew one of 14 detailed vehicles on the Russian Front between 1941-45. The combination of roles across thirteen maps, based on real-world locations and battles, allows Red Orchestra to finally achieve its goal of delivering a full first-person, World War II infantry and vehicle combat simulation.

New Call of Duty "cough" expansions
www.joystik.com
Posted Mar 7th 2006 10:10AM by Dan Choi

We've heard from a reliable source what the next two Call of Duty titles will be about: one will focus on the Normandy Breakout campaign in WWII, while the other moves into the modern age, taking the fight to Middle Eastern terrorists. Yikes!

The big release news is that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the other WWII-themed game will be released for PC, PS2, PS3, Xbox, and Xbox 360--and they will be released only 3 months apart from one another. This would follow the pattern of releases for Call of Duty 2 on the PC and 360 and Call of Duty 2: Big Red One on current-gen consoles, only this time both would be released on both generations of hardware (minus the GameCube and Revolution).
